ICS Transition Partnership Group
The ICS Transition Partnership Group (TPG) was a subgroup of the national SPF. It was established in April 2021 to enable partners to get involved in the organisational change arising from the establishment of statutory ICSs.
The group included representation from NHS England, Department of Health and Social Care, NHS Employers, ICSs/clinical commissioning groups, commissioning support units and NHS trade unions. The aim of the group was to support staff during the organisational change, by minimising uncertainty and limiting employment changes, working to the principles of simple, local and evolution.
The TPG had its last official meeting on 30 June 2022 as it had concluded its work in supporting the safe transfer of 26 thousand staff from CCGs and other organisations, to ICBs. An evaluation of the role of the TPG during the transition was undertaken to identify lessons learnt.
